I think my wedding posts have been getting longer and longer and this may be the biggest one yet:) Amber and Chris were married on October 12, the last wedding I was privileged to photograph in 2013, and I am truly amazed by how blessed I have been this year working with so many caring and fun couples (and tons of sunny wedding days!). Amber and Chris had a gorgeous Holland wedding with lots of fun, personal touches that made the day a blast and a great way to kick off their marriage. Following the ceremony we drove to Spring Lake Country Club for their reception and even got to play in the leaves a little bit before dinner (photo below:) – one of the best things about autumn in Michigan:) Congratulations to you both as you enjoy your first Thanksgiving and Christmas as a married couple! One newer wedding tradition that I love is a “first look” with the father of the bride. Such an emotional moment. Yep. These guys have super powers. Even Shorty got a first look with the beautiful bride:) Thank you so much to Amy of Everyday Joy Photography for capturing many wonderful moments of the day including these two photos! I encourage you to check her work out – she is a fantastic photographer, especially with little ones! I love bright sunny days for weddings – such beautiful light. Amber looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day! Loved her bouquet…so pretty:)
