Hello again blog! It’s been several weeks since I’ve done regular blog posting as our family has grown drastically in the last few months as a part of our foster care journey. I’ve needed somewhat of a “maternity leave” to adjust to life as a mom of 5 sweeties instead of 2:) Having said that, I’m planning on steadily updating the blog with more recent work in the coming months, especially focusing on families and babies which has ramped up in the past year.
Much of my summer is focused on weddings so I love the chance to spend an evening or afternoon with a family. This particular family is where I wanted to start! My family and the Eggerich family have become good friends over the past few years and I loved everything about their session. Right now, blogging in my slippers and many layers, I can actually remember how wonderful the summer air feels as I look through these images:) I met up with them at Burgess Lake and we enjoyed a super casual, natural session with plenty of smiles, as well as many images that are more of a reflection of their time spent as a family in the summer…playing in the sand, enjoying the lake, walking through the woods.
If you are considering a family photo session for 2017, consider a session right at your home where photos can be a mix of portraits and lifestyle. It’s great getting those “smiling into the camera” photos, but the others are really a treasure, capturing your kids and family wherever you are in life, giving you a chance many years from now to look back and remember the silly faces, the kisses, the dirty feet, and the big personalities:) Enjoy!!
