It was a dark and stormy day….in the midst of strong Midwest storms, power lines down, crazy hot temps, and all manner of weather havoc, Rachael and Jon managed to have an absolutely beautiful and memorable wedding day surrounded by their family and best friends! They were married at Jon’s longtime church, Church of the Servant, in Grand Rapids, and held their reception at Rachael’s parent’s gorgeous property in Rockford.
I loved the vintage feel of their wedding, with lots of lace, wild flowers, sweet DIY touches, and traditional waltzes during the reception, which made for a fun celebration for all ages! One of my favorite aspects of their wedding was Rachael’s grandfather officiating. The legacy in both of their families of faith and commitment is so strong! As a special gift, God decided to demonstrate his creative abilities and gave the most incredible sunset to close their wedding day!
